Ingredients of Chocolate And Almond Rum Ball

  • 250 gm Egg less Chocolate Sponge
  • 15 ml dark rum
  • 100 gm dark chocolate
  • 150 ml single cream
  • 10 gm coffee powder
  • 100 gm almonds
  • 100 gm castor sugar

How to Make Chocolate And Almond Rum Ball

  • Heat the cream in a pan, boil it and remove from heat. Add the chocolate and set aside until it cools down a bit and then mix well.
  • Toast the almonds in an oven at 180 ° C for 8–10 minutes.
  • Finely chop the almonds.
  • Heat the castor sugar in a pan and caramel, add roughly chopped almonds and remove the nougat on a parchment paper.
  • Crush the nougat with a rolling pin until slightly thick.
  • Crumble the chocolate sponge until breadcrumbs consistency in a mixing bowl, dissolve half the chocolate sugarcane (ganache), instant coffee powder in a spoonful of water, rum, and mix the hands together until the mixture is smooth.
  • Now pour 2/3 of the crushed almond nougat into the mixture and make small round balls (35-40 grams) and refrigerate.
  • Once slightly set, coat the rum balls with the leftover chocolate cane.
  • Garnish with almond nougat and serve.
